OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is ordering fitness supplement companies to stop selling weight loss and body building products containing DMAA, citing its potentially fatal side effects.An Overland Park trainer and a young athlete both told KMBC 9's David Hall that when it comes to taking vitamins and supplements, people need to be careful.Jerry Gordey, the owner and trainer at Snap Fitness, said he's familiar with the FDA's ruling and the side effects."(It's linked to) elevated heart rate, dry mouth. You're out training hard and you're going to go and elevate your heart rate before you train. It's dangerous," he said. "It brings your heart rate too high, which can cause strokes and heart attacks."The substance has come under more scrutiny after it was discovered in the toxicology tests of two soldiers who suffered heart attacks and died during physical training at a military base in the southwestern United States.Gordey said he tries to steer young athletes, including basketball player James Thornton, 18, in the right direction."Stay basic. A multivitamin. All-natural ingredients. Diet is everything," Gordey said."I'm not going to be a pro player, but my chances, I don't want to ruin them or hurt my body in the long term when I get older," Thornton said.The federal warning and military investigation come nearly six years after DMAA hit the market in the United States. Major League Baseball and the World Anti-Doping Agency have banned the substance as a performance-enhancing drug.
io personalmente lo avevo già bannato alcuni integratori con dmaa dai miei acquisti...mi dava molti sides e poi sinceramente si può fare a meno del dmaa
son un pò perplesso , molti ma molti utenti sul forum lodavano le proprietà del OEP ed ora viene bannato.
Non son un esperto di integrazione ,anzi...xò rimango perplesso ; come dovrei interpretare la cosa ? A breve vorrei fare un ordine importante , ma non vorrei riempirmi di roba e dopo qualche mese scoprire che è stata bannata xè aveva roba che faceva male o potenzialmente dannosa.

Si presuppone che la usp labs, essendo un' azienda americana e producendo negli Stati Uniti d' America, presa la notizia dalla FDA dovrebbe cessare la produzione dei suoi integratori contenenti il dmaa ( che tra l' altro un medico mi disse che tale sostanza derivasse dall' anfetamina ) e conseguentemente terminare le sue esportazioni, sbaglio ?

mh....no, questa risposta stavolta non mi basta. Può esserci dietrologia , ma bannare una sostanza e non un prodotto mi pare una cosa un pò più seria.
Non è che è stato classificato come prodotto da usare dietro prescrizione medica, mi pare che sia stato proibito e stop.
